I grew up in a small town and have always had a passion for reading and writing. Growing up, I loved reading books like Harry Potter, Dear America, and Ella Enchanted, and I enjoyed writing poetry.

After getting married and having kids, I lost the side of me that loved to read, until my grandmother gifted me a book. I remembered my love of reading, and have read over 200 books since then! My first love is fantasy, but historical fiction is a close second.

This book poured out of my heart, surprising me more than anyone, for I never thought of writing a book, but here we are! I am so thankful you are here!

When I’m not reading or writing, I enjoy spending time with my family, baking sourdough bread, and traveling (or planning my next trip)!

Fun Facts:

• My favorite book I read in high school was The Portrait of Dorian Gray, and I would love to someday write a retelling of that story.

• I have two dogs I adore, named Luna and Midnight. In Ember in the Ice, Lina and Finn’s horses are named after my dogs!
